WHAT’S A GICLÉE PRINT?
Giclée is a fine art printing technique that’s used to achieve high-quality prints through specialized inkjet printing using archival inks and paper. These prints are non-water soluble and won’t ever fade. Not all giclée prints have the same quality. I’ve searched for the best printing available while keeping it affordable because everyone should have art!
Once I’ve drawn several trees — I use pen, ink, watercolor, charcoal, anything that wants to come play — I take them to a professional art photographer who lovingly lights each one and takes her/his individual glamour shot. She then generates a high-resolution digital image that I work with to add her or his story.
My fabulous printer then uses this high resolution, digital image to make these gorgeous reproductions.
All of the trees are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper. This white cotton artist’s paper is soft and luscious with the perfect amount of structure and weight to carry the inks of the trees. Even when looking at the print through a loop it’s difficult to tell the originals from the prints.
Currently a few originals are for sale. If you are interested in purchasing an original, please inquire.
